One of the hardest things that i have had to endure was the break of my 7th grade year. That summer started very well. I was at my aunt`s house in San Francisco enjoying my summer. When out of no where my aunt gets a call that we have to come back home. I knew something was wrong but nobody wanted to tell me anything. i was trying to think of what could have possibly happened, but i thought of nothing. Once we made it home, i was informed that my sister had ran away from home because she was pregnant. This was a big deal because my sister was in the middle of her senior year. My mom was in a huge shock because me and my sister are the only children she has. For me this was a huge deal because i looked up to my sister. I aspired to be just like my sister, but when I heard about this all my dreams and aspiration had been completely shattered, and so had my mother`s. My whole family tried to accept it but it was very hard to get over. I personally used this as a lesson to not put my dreams in a person. Then what I did was that I used my sister`s situation for my own benefit. I used her as mirror so that i would see what its like to not gradate with the rest of your class. I saw what life was like for her. What it was like to become a stereotype and hard life suddenly became having a baby. That was how i overcame one of the hardest obstacles in my life.
